-- JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!
We believe that Jesus Christ was, is, and always will be God in human likeness. Jesus, though totally divine at all times, became a real human being. Jesus literally became human without compromising His absolute deity. We acknowledge these true basic biblical doctrines: His virgin birth, His sinless life, His death on the Cross, and His literal physical resurrection from the dead. Acknowledging Jesus' deity means that we are responsible to obey Him. We must do as He says, rather than just living as we want.

-- THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
It is the clear teaching of the Scriptures that once a person is born again through faith in Jesus Christ, Jesus desires that every believer receive the gift of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. When a person is saved, at that moment they receive the gift of the Holy Spirit within. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit adds to that infilling in that it is an anointing of power that is given to help the believer feel the presence of Christ and have God's power to live victoriously in a hostile world. We today need the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and God desires that we daily be filled with the Spirit!

So important and necessary is the Baptism in the Holy Spirit that Jesus told those who had been with Him for over three years that they were not to go anywhere until they each received this gift. On the Day of Pentecost, each one of the 120 men and women present received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Not one person was left out! This Baptism is important and necessary for us today, and God will not leave out anyone who asks for it!

-- THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ have sent the Holy Spirit to the believer and to the church (John 14 -16). The Holy Spirit represents the Father and the Son on the earth today. There are nine basic ways in which the Holy Spirit manifests Himself. These are called "the gifts of the Spirit" (I Corinthians 12).

WE BELIEVE THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS BEEN SENT TO EARTH BY THE FATHER AND THE SON
(JESUS) TO HELP PEOPLE - EVEN SUPERNATURALLY HELP THEM WHEN WARRANTED.

-- THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God, equal with the Father and the Son. We believe that the Holy Spirit is present at each of our services at WOT. Each of us can and should access His power at every service. We do so with varying manifestations: Some will scream or shake or fall to the ground as they encounter the power of God, some will begin to enthusiastically praise Him, some will be healed, some will receive miracles, and some will not feel anything or see any instant manifestation. At Word of Truth we believe the power of the Holy Spirit is real, so we want people to experience God and be touched by God. We believe that God is real; and because He is real He can be felt and experienced. A person's reaction to this experience may be lively and energetic or very quiet. Experiencing God differs from person to person.

-- THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
At Word of Truth we believe that the Bible is the authoritative, divinely inspired, Word of God. We believe that it is true and valid for every person in every generation in every age. The world and its people, customs, and cultures may change continuously; but the Word of God never changes and never adapts to the beliefs of the world. Instead, all of the world's people, customs, and cultures must change to adapt to the Word of God. Adapting to the Word of God is called "repentance," while not adapting to God's Word is called "rebellion".

-- OTHER THINGS WE BELIEVE
We believe that people are saved only by their personal faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus is the one and only way to God the Father, and the only way to salvation.
We believe that water baptism is by immersion, and that it is your first step in a new life of obeying God.

We believe in a literal heaven and a literal hell.

We believe in the rapture of the church, which takes place when Jesus returns and all who are born again and are ready meet Him in the air.

We believe in a literal devil, called Satan, and demons.

We believe in the angels of God.

We believe in the Holy Trinity comprised of God the Father, God the Son (the Lord Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that God heals today through spiritual methods such as prayer, the laying on of hands, and anointing with oil; and He also heals today through medical intervention in the form of doctors, medicine, hospitals, and surgeries.
