Welcome to Word of Truth International OUR HISTORY AND DESTINY |

| Word of Truth was founded in 1983 by pastors Bob and Glo Hellmann. The first meetings were held in a motel conference room, with 40 people in attendance. From those early days, Word of Truth has grown to its present facilities on Winchester Road in Huntsville, Alabama. |
| In its early years Word of Truth was associated with Pastor John Osteen and his Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. Since Pastor John Osteen's death in 1999, Bishop Bob has taken as his pastor Apostle Bill McKinney of the Christian Life Center in Cleveland, Ohio. |
| Throughout the years, Word of Truth has received many manifestations of God's presence and power. Word of Truth was the first church in Madison County, Alabama, to actively emphasize the truth that Jesus wants people of all races, colors, and cultures to love each other and to worship together as one spiritual family. We exist to provide a place of unity for all cultures, to reach those who have not yet embraced the gospel, to equip God's people to live a victorious life by applying the Word of God to their daily lives, and to provide a place where people can freely and lavishly worship Jesus Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords. |
| Word of Truth International exists to establish the Kingdom of God in Huntsville, Alabama, in
Madison County, and all across the world. We use our influence in heaven (through prayer) and
on earth (through witnessing and teaching the Word) in order to further the Kingdom of God on
this earth. We appreciate all that God has done in our group in the past, while pressing forward to
embrace all that He has for us in the future. We are grateful for all the powerful moves of God
among us that we have enjoyed until now; but we thank God that our future is even brighter and
will be even greater than all of our past! |
